Thought control of limbs
In Pink Floyd’s song “Another Brick in the Wall,” the British school kids sing: “We don’t need no thought control.” That is, they don’t want teachers to control their thoughts. But what if you could use the power of your thoughts to control a robotic arm to simulate the movements of your limbs? Researchers at Brown University in Rhode Island have implanted a small device in the motor cortex of the brain that does just that.
